Mr Green Africa (MGA) produces high quality plastic recyclate (PCR) at their factory in Nairobi from waste purchased from the informal waste sector in Kenya, reimagining plastic waste. Their businesses creates manufacturing and other jobs for in their operating sites, helps informal sector waste pickers to earn a living from collecting plastic and gives plastic waste a new purpose. Recycling over 4000 tonnes of plastic annually, MGA creates a market for plastic waste, enabling the waste-pickers who collect to earn a living and improve their livelihoods.
